  BIKE RACING EVENT INFORMATION

*All known bike racing event information is now also incorporated into the Georgia Cycling Ride/Race Events Calendar.  This calendar is accessible on the left side of this page.

ON-ROAD
Road bike racing is big in Georgia.  The Tour de Georgia multiday stage race (www.tourdegeorgia.com) is an international event and others like the Athens Twilight criterium (www.athenstwilight.com) and the Georgia Cup series (www.georgiacup.com) draw racers from across the region.  There are also smaller and stand alone races like the Nestor Cup series (www.nestorcup.com) and the Historic Roswell Criterium (www.nalleyhrc.com).  Other websites worth checking out for road, time trial, and criterium information are those of USA Cycling (www.usacycling.org/events/) and Southeastern Cycling (www.southeasterncycling.com)

OFF-ROAD
Georgia is blessed to have both the Georgia State Championship mountain bike series (www.goneriding.com) and the Georgia Cross cyclocross series (www.georgia-cross.com).  BMX racing is alive and well in Georgia too (http://www.georgiabmx.org/).  Information on mountain bike/cylcocross/off road races is also provided at SORBA (www.sorba.org) and Southeastern Cycling (www.southeasterncycling.com).

VELODROME
The unique Dick Lane Velodrome in East Point, Georgia is the only velodrome in Georgia (and 1 of only 20 in the USA).  It hosts an active racing season, practice schedule, classes, and even a Bicycle Little League.  The facility reopened in 2005 after structural repairs and other updating (www.dicklanevelodrome.com).

MULTI-SPORT
There are quite a number of multi-sport races staged throughout the state each year.  The following are good sources of on-line information (www.gamultisports.com/index.htmlwww.tribluesky.com,  & www.trifind.com/ga.html).

Great event! See you in 2010!
